Taking A Break!

Well... today is Sunday. The personal goal I've set for myself, to finish my next novel by September 1st, has been moved. I've been spending too much of my free time online trying to promote In My Dreams, which has been doing AWESOME, by the way!!! YIPPEE! I am SO PROUD! And, I think it can stand on its own for a little while. (Check it out! http://cameorenae.com)
So I've decided to take a week off and finish my next novel. I'm almost there. I can see that finish line! My problem... I get distracted WAY too easily. TV's on... I'll watch it. Radio... I'll sing along. Too often, I sit and stare either at my computer screen or into oblivion.
I'm going to focus, focus, focus! After I've had my second cup of coffee that is... and get 'er done!
So if you don't see me around, I've locked myself away. But I'll be back soon, with a sparkly new book, filled with adventure, suspense, and romance! Until then... adios amigos! Wish me luck!

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

Hmmm. That's a tough one. There are so many books that I'd love to play a part in. But, if I had to choose...I'd say, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I'd love to be one of the siblings, and get to go through the wardrobe, experience a wondrous, fantasy land, go on an adventure, become a queen and be loved and revered by everyone there. 
Then... when we return to reality, it's as if we've never aged. Now, that would be awesome! 
And...okay, okay. I'd love to be the main girl in any vampire novel. Just because. ;)

Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently? 

Well... My habits have definitely changed. My favorite genre is still YA, but I'm open to ALMOST anything. As a child I loved fantasy (C.S. Lewis), and books by Beverly Cleary and Carolyn Keene. Since I've grown-up (yeah-right!) I like murder mysteries, romance,  horror: pretty much anything good. I've read books from Stephen King to Nora Roberts. My Grammy is an avid reader with an endless book pile that I pick through, but I love my Kindle. <3

But... my favorite books, as of now, are YA Paranormal Romance. Not only to read, but to write about. It's just a fun, anything goes genre, and I love it!
