Today, it is my absolute pleasure to have Armanda West visit my blog!!! Armanda has two published books, Undefeated and Bottom Feeders. Don't forget to check these out!!! They are both Amazon top sellers!!!

UNDEFEATED

He's a hard man, toughened and tried in the streets of Scotland, and he's finally getting what's due to him: fame, fortune, and the means to provide for his sister. The eyes of the world are upon him as he travels to the United States, ready to make his international debut, and they are watching more closely than he could ever imagine.
He hadn't expected to cross paths with a woman like Rhiannon, and he hadn't expected the consequences.

 BOTTOM FEEDERS

Jill Corvin lives her life in the fast lane, even dating a notorious drug dealer - but she can kiss it all goodbye when a deal goes unimaginably wrong. Now she's an unwilling participant in a holy war where vampires serve as God's huntsmen, taking down the tainted doppelgangers of mankind and the human slayers who release them from their hellish prison. The vampires had been losing their crusade until fate leads them to Jillian, a budding psychic who can help them track down the slayer's ringleaders, but only if she can resist an offer from the ultimate enemy to the vampires' cause: The rogue Vlad Dracula.

"Undefeated"

So, Armanda...when did you first start writing?
I began writing the summer before seventh grade. I managed to mess up the modem on my computer so I started writing as a way to spend my time. The habit never stopped.

What books do you have published?
“Bottom Feeders” and “Undefeated” are both available now. I’ve written a short story, “Underneath”, for the holidays and “Unaware” has been accepted by CHBB to be published in early 2013. Both “Underneath” and “Unaware” follow “Undefeated”.

What do you need when writing? (Music, candy, silence?)
This sounds weird, but I can’t write in silence or with music. I work best with the TV on in the background. I love writing while “watching” Hell’s Kitchen. It’s great white noise.

How did you go about building your world and characters?
I tend to see my book play out like a movie in my head, and I just write down what I see - what the setting is, what characters look like, etc. The story unfolds by itself. I sometimes don’t know what is going to happen until it does.

Do you have a favorite character? Why?
I love Jillian from Bottom Feeders. She has a really broad spectrum. She’s spunky and doesn’t take anyone’s crap, and she isn’t afraid to stand up for herself - until it comes to dealing with her abusive boyfriend. She’s kind of willfully ignorant to how bad that situation is and she really has to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to realize it. She grows a lot in the span of one book.

Are you working on any new projects?
Always! I’m working on the third installment in the Undefeated series right now. I’ve got plans to start my autobiography - “Armada West: The Highly Fictionalized True Story” - and I’ve got a serious non-fiction in the works too.

Any advice for aspiring authors?
I always say the same thing, and it’s exactly what my mentor told me. Ten chapters, ten pages each.

What are you hoping fans will take away from this book?
All my books really focus on consequences. In “Bottom Feeders” Jillian makes a lot of rash decisions and has to deal with the repercussions; the same way that Rhiannon and Julian do in the Undefeated series. I want readers to see how every decision leads to the next event.

Fun stuff:
Worst Movie ever watched:
Blood and Chocolate. It was incredibly disappointing, especially because I loved the book so much.

Food you won’t eat:
Asparagus. It smells bad, it looks icky. You couldn’t pay me to eat it.

This or That: (Which do you prefer, Armanda)

Day or night? Night -- I feel a lot more alert later on

Coffee or Tea? Tea

Ocean or Pool? Pool, hands down

Chicken or Fish? If it’s sashimi, fish.

Vampires or Werewolves? Vampires. While there’s something sexy about a wild, unchained beast, it’s nothing against the sophistication of a calculated killer like a vampire.

 AWESOME!!!
 Thanks for visiting Armanda!!!
I'm looking forward to reading your books!!!
AND PEOPLE...Don't forget to check out Undefeated and Bottom Feeders by Armanda West!!!

XOXO,

  1. Hi Armanda and Cameo. Nice and informative blog interview.
Ah come on Armanda just a little asparagus. lol I also try to limit my chapters to ten pages or less I find it easier to shift scenes with a chapter change than in the chapter itself.
I have purchased both Undefeated and Bottom Feeders but must confess I haven't read them yet. I have a huge back of of reading to do. (Groan)
Best of luck and sell a million. When you do sell a million be certain to throw some pocket change my way. lol Take care both of you.
