On a personal note, SJ Davis is the daughter of an ex-patriate British mother and a Southern Baptist former CIA father. As a child, she spoke in silly accents and recounted outlandish tales of fantasy over afternoon tea. To this day it remains her favorite activity. Born in Long Island, NY, she was raised in the suburbs of Washington DC and went to school for a ridiculous amount of time. She moved from Virginia to New Jersey to Philadelphia to Chicago to Detroit, and began her writing career once her children were old enough to reach for the goldfish themselves. Hello-hello! I’m so excited to be part of this Valentine’s Day blog hop. Every author on the hop is featuring something new--like pages never been read or scenes that were cut. I’m really proud to show off my very own something NEW! Just this month, my first audio books came out for my latest books: How I Fall and How I Fly (A YA, two-book, crush romance).

It's about a high school girl who has cerebral palsy that constantly causes her to fall;  but her CP does not stand in the way of the huge dreams she has to be a photographer. She falls in love with a football quarterback who’s been assigned to her photography project. He’s holding back that he’s had a huge crush on her since middle school, because his life is really messed up and he’s terrified he might hurt her.

I hope you will enjoy listening to this. It’s a clip from the part of the story where Ellen Foster (heroine) is stuck at the bus stop, unable to lift her bad leg very well. Cam Campbell, the popular hero notices—because he notices everything about Ellen. They’ve only forged a cautious friendship the day before. Both books in this series (it’s continuous story) were read back to back by two amazing audio book readers, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. They act out the voices for the entire story. Kai reads the heroine as well as all of the girls in the story and Wen reads Cam and all the guys. They switch points of view so seamlessly and bring the story to life. 
I’m humbled to have worked with them as well as to have had the opportunity to have the clip here on Cameo Renae’s blog.
